Quantitative Research and Data Science - We take a data opportunistic approach, utilizing data sets from every place imaginable.  Based on  the myriad of patterns and signals generated, we then use this data-driven research to find insights into forecasting the movement of financial markets. Data comes in many forms such as financial market data itself, twitter feeds, and economic releases - and we're always looking for more. It's a fast-paced, high stakes, and rapidly evolving game. 

Software Engineering - A key cornerstone of the trading capabilities is our software, systems and infrastructure.  By pushing the envelope in an engineering capacity, we make the ability to model, forecast, and trade more streamlined and efficient.  By staying current and constantly evolving our technology to meet the high-paced evolution of software, we retain the edge that allowed us to begin in the first place - opportunities exist in domain-specific languages, distributed computing, cloud, data center, storage and more.

Culture

The most critical piece of Arc Stone are the people that work here.  We are constantly seeking to find ways to collaborate more effectively and find solutions to some of the most difficult problems. Not only are we trying to build a successful and profitable company, but we're also building successful and profitable careers and people.  We all take the roles of students, teachers, players, and coaches at the same time.
